Went back home today and finally got to see my main birthday present which got delivered a few weeks ago ( a very belated present seeing as my birthday was in June) This is a linocut I picked from the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (on 8th June) it's by an artist called Wayne Robinson who does lots of lovely linocuts woodcuts and monoprints, drawing inspiration from relationships in his family.
I volunteer at an old persons care home every wednesday in the pottery room. The residents do some amazing work and really engage with working with the clay. This is Florence who loves painting pots.
took a trip to Scotland for a few days, went to my cousins wedding at Borwick castle, just outside Edinburgh. Twas a beautiful occasion, full of Ceilihd, haggis, speeches and swedish men
came across this website just now, scans of sandwiches. They're fascinating and beautiful, i like all the different colourful layers. And it also makes me hungry, so im off to make some lunch.
So i finally finished my poster, took a while but very happy in the end. Exhibition looked grand as well. And now its the summer holidays, hope all you lovely people have wonderful expeditions and travels.
